The scripture tells us exactly what those benefits are. Our waiting experiences show the world the benefits that come from waiting upon the Lord. We should be examples of what it looks like to wait. Our life story should be as worthy of glorifying God during the in-between periods as it is on the mountain tops. We only need to trust them and believe that there are benefits to waiting on the Lord. His timing is perfect because he is everywhere and all knowing! He knows the lessons we need and the time to grow we need. He knows when we are ready for next level movement, he knows when our hearts are prepared. God knows the beginning, the end, and everything in between. God’s plans are perfectly aligned with the timing that only he sees. Though it linger, wait for it it will certainly come and will not delay. If we remember the idea of harvest, and that it takes work during the planting and growing season to reap the harvest, we can be encouraged during the season of waiting on god’s timing.įor the revelation awaits an appointed time it speaks of the end and will not prove false. When it is hard to be patient and wait we can start falling back into old habits. When we wait, it can be so easy to grow weary, to become lax in our watching and waiting. The mental picture they give of the message God is trying to share with us is always so perfect. I love scriptures that remind us of planting and harvest. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. We can find peace in the pauses of God’s plan, knowing that if he is waiting to fulfill the promise his mercy is present in our lives as he waits for our maturity, all for our salvation. He will not give us anything, that will cause us to stumble. We must also remember, that he is all knowing, merciful, and gracious. We must first remember that if God has made a promise (and he made thousands in the bible) he is faithful to fulfil that promise. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. What does the bible say about God’s Timing? There is an answer in God’s word for everything! Studying a few verses about God’s timing can help you teach you how to wait patiently on God, through increasing your faith and trust. When we need encouragement, the best thing we can do is to go to scriptures. Through study, I have found the following advantages!Ĥ Can you trust that God’s timing is perfect? The issue is when we are called to be patient and wait, the confidence while present at the beginning, can have a tendency to wane. In prayer, I asked God to help me see the benefits of waiting on Him. I am embarrassed by my constant inability to be still and wait on God. While waiting for the blessing of additional children, I took for granted time spent in the present with my husband and son! While waiting for the birth of my daughter, I was anxious in waiting from 37 weeks on. When waiting for my husband, I was constantly searching for the potential in prospective suitors. I have often failed at waiting in the past! Sure, I made it through each wait relatively unscathed, but I can’t be sure I learned how to wait well. If you find yourself currently in the waiting space and terrified, I pray you are encouraged by the following benefits of waiting upon the Lord. In between God’s last manifested promise and the one for which we are waiting. In between our last failed relationship and the future forever relationship. In between our current job and our dream job. Bottom Line Up Front: God’s Timing is Perfect!ĭoes it ever seem like life is an endless waiting period? It is as if waiting is inevitable! I sometimes feel as if I’m living most of my life in the in-between.
